How is Nau different from other healthcare platforms?

Armed with a Master’s in Bioethics and a Doctor of Public Health from Columbia University, Nitya is an expert in how structural constraints impact everyday choices, with a focus on how public and private stakeholders interact and impact the general public. Internationally recognized by the BBC, Nitya has dedicated her life to understanding healthcare from various perspectives - in the private and public sectors, as an academic and researcher, and as a founder. Nitya is a co-founder of Nau. Here, she applies her systems expertise - the ability to understand, analyze, and work with complex, interconnected social systems - to the complexity of healthcare, as experienced on the ground and amidst an everchanging landscape.

With more than a decade of physician experience in underserved areas and an MBA from Columbia Business School, Pramod has a unique background: an urban, big center-trained practicing cancer physician with a keen understanding of healthcare policy and its impact on people with constrained access to resources. Pramod operates the only independent oncology practice in deep East Texas, in a town of roughly 34,000 people, and the largest independent oncology practice in a sixty-mile radius. His geographic isolation solidifies him in the trenches with everyday rural patients fighting cancer, giving him a unique perspective on what is working and where gaps exist.Pramod co-founded Nau with Nitya to peel away the layers of complexity around healthcare, driven by a strong belief that better information can protect stakeholders from the prison of fine print and enable opportunities to reach across healthcare silos for meaningful solutions.
